    An exciting opportunity to work as part of the Assurance and Enforcement Support Team. This is a varied role in which you will provide business support services to Spectrum Engineering & Enforcement (SE&E) team. The key responsibility of this role is to manage the relationship with the Vehicle Fleet Management company. In addition to this provide secondary support to the Assurance & Enforcement team with asset management and processing sanctions. 

    What you will be doing


    Vehicle Fleet Management    

    • Supporting the day-to-day management of the Ofcom vehicle fleet – both leased and owned. 
    • Liaise with stakeholders including Fleet Leasing Company, other related suppliers and colleagues ensuring vehicle queries/issues are managed and successfully resolved. 
    • Ensure leasing company and other suppliers deliver to contracted terms and conditions  
    • Ensure accuracy of all the invoices and follow the necessary processes for payment of the invoices. 
    • Provide guidance to colleagues around Motor Vehicle Policy and Procedure,  
    • Facilitate driver licence checks and Fleet Risk Assessments. 
    • Ensure hire car requests are appropriately approved, processed and full audit trail is kept for records.  
    • Manage vehicle tracking software and production of vehicle reports. 
    • Carry out appropriate HMRC monitoring, dealing with queries from DVLA, VOSA (Operators Licence) and any other organisations on legislative matters.


    Assets Management and Calibration/Repair 

    • Provide secondary support to Asset Management and calibration and repair management 
    • Ensure that the Asset Management System is maintained with accurate records of all assets.  
    • Calibration and Maintenance: 
    • Liaise with SE&E operational teams on all calibration and maintenance requirements. 

     Enforcement Support and Sanction Management  

    • Provide secondary support in the processing of sanctions using our case records management system and raising of search warrants   
    • Provide assistance to Assurance and Enforcement officers, as requested, in the conduct of criminal investigation

    General Business Support 

    • Provide business support in day-to-day-activities and adhoc projects in support of the A&E Support team and wider organisation as requested by line manager. 



    Essential Skills / Experience

    • Appreciation of and desire to promote Ofcom's values of excellence, agility, empowerment and collaboration
    • Previous experience of vehicle fleet management
    • Proficient use of Microsoft office applications, eg Outlook, Word Excel and ability to become proficient with other Ofcom IT systems (eg SAP

    Desirable Skills / Experience


    • An understanding of maintaining an asset management system
    • Systems and process knowledge of SAP, Siebel, SharePoint, Asset management system
    • Understanding of procurement processes
