Ofcom is the independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries. We regulate the TV, radio, fixed-line telecoms, mobile telecoms and postal sectors, plus the radio spectrum over which wireless devices operate. We are looking for a talented individual to join the Spectrum Management and Authorisation team within Ofcom’s Spectrum Group. The Spectrum Group is responsible for ensuring the radio spectrum is used in the most effective way possible, and the Spectrum Management and Authorisation team plays an important role by:
Experience in the field of satellite communications or space science;
Strong analytical and radio spectrum engineering skills;
Ability to plan and lead work, delivering it to time, cost and quality expectations;
Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain complex topics and represent Ofcom’s position in discussions with stakeholders;
